Field work

We have various corers, samplers and field equipment at our disposal for performing fieldwork.  For carrying out fieldwork on the water, we have, our own boat with (electric) motor, UWITEC corer for collecting intact sediment cores, various piston drills, multisamplers, grab samplers, and a Ruttner water sampler. With our multimeters we can water characteristics in situ (including pH, EGV, oxygen and temperature) to a depth of 30 m. Pore water can be collected in the field using ceramic cups or (macro)rhizons. For our field work on greenhouse gas fluxes, we have two gas analyzers (to measure CO2, CH4 and N2O) and closed flux chambers of various sizes.
