Recentelijk is in het wetenschappelijke tijdschrift Environmental Pollution een artikel verschenen over broeikasgasemissies uit slib in baggerdepots. Hieraan hebben onze collegae Gijs van Dijk en Fons Smolders meegewerkt.
Het onderzoek heeft aangetoond dat door permanente inundatie de emissie van CO2 afneemt. Onder permanente inundatie kan het toedienen van zeoliet aanvullend tot een verlaagde N2O flux leiden.
